Christmas is the best part of the year for all walks of life. Every year it brings a joy, a promise of another beautiful new year, and some new year resolutions which are never fulfilled but yet are made every year with the same fervor and anticipation.
Shopkeepers and advertisers target the festive and joyous audience with their nicely decorated shopfronts glittering in Christmas trees and lights. People run and hunt for the best buy offers to buy the things they always wanted after being able to collect some money working hard all the year round. They forget what they bought the previous year, they forget easily how costly it was for them to make up for the drunken party they organized last New year eve.
But, it's not always possible to keep your emotions down and subjugate them with reasoning. Emotion overpowers the reasoning every time they have conflict. Then the right way? Never let them have a conflict. Never let your emotion overpower your reasoning. Always make a list of things you really need and carry that chcklist to buy the things you want, within the specified budget. Don't run along with the bullshit ideas like, "You've got one life, make it large", "Enjoy while you can", "Don't be a stingy parsimonious person" , "Get a life bro" etc. etc. You think with your head. Because once you've done something you will repent in future working your ass off to pay for the things you owned unnecessarily, you cannot kick your own head. It's safe there in the top. You can only prevent it, cannot make up after the loss.
So, stay chill. Stay joyful, cut down all your expensive luxuries, expensive habits. Real joy is derived from free things. Remember how basking in the sun is free. Trekking in the wild is free. Nice self made food is healthy and cheap, which would make you healthier and happier in the long run. Go for the unlimited fun that is actually free, not partying in a DJ where wines and girls are rented in exorbitant rates taking advantage of the shackled millions of people seeking freedom.
Merry Christmas. happy new Year :) :)
